Why La Peyre?

The name of our cattery is LA PEYRE which is the word for STONE in the region of Bearn in France. For us however it means a lot more, it´s the name of the stone house my parents rebuilt and where they lived for over 20 years.

We would like to dedicate it to someone special who liked cats and is no longer with us to share this new experience, my mother Joyce. We are happy and proud to have La Peyre as our cattery name. Thanks to our daughter Lorena for the good idea.

We live in the historic part of Tudela in a delightful old house that is very big and always in need of repairs.  Its outstanding features are the stone bodega (wine cellar) and a good sized patio and the advantage is that all this right in the middle of town.
